At Kea, we value the importance of language and communication. We believe children should be encouraged to develop skills to live in an ever-evolving and ever-changing multicultural world.
Our MFL curriculum intends to provide children with opportunities to develop an interest and a passion for a language other than their own first language. We aim to teach them grammar, vocabulary in a combination of spoken and written skills to enable them to communicate confidently.
Teaching through a variety of speaking, listening, singing and role play activities, we hope to foster an interest and a love of a modern foreign language. By the end of their time at Kea, we wish that our children become confident users of a modern foreign language leading them to study at a secondary level and further.
